Druid's Cottage

The Druid's Cottage was the home of the druid Halewyn in eastern Glowecestrescire, England.

History

Circa 876, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir tried to clear her name when she was accused of murdering Glowecestrescire's ealdorman Tewdwr. After collecting a pouch of herbs from the bandit Gwilim, Eivor traveled to Halewyn's house disguised as the Mari Lwyd to determine the plants' identity and purpose. With the disguise, Halewyn saw Eivor as a spirit and tested her as such. After lighting up haystacks on fire and solving Halewyn's riddles, Eivor asked about the pouch's contents and was told it was a remedy to help one sleep better, and that the prescription's user lived at Cudd Lladron. With this information, Eivor left Halewyn to go meet with Modron.[1] After some time, Eivor visited Halewyn, who discussed his role as Gwenydd's mentor of the druidic practices.[2]

Afterwards, Eivor looked around and found a chest nearby within a lake near the cottage. Eivor swam down, looted the chest, and acquired a tungsten ingot.[2]

Behind the scenes

If the player visited the cottage again, the player may see that Halewyn lived with his numerous cats.
