Shay Cormac in one of Dekanawida's cave entrances

Dekanawida was a series of hills and caves situated in the center of River Valley, New York.

Due to the Iroquois people's presence, Dekanawida's cave walls were illustrated with their legends of the Sky Woman, and a native totem was constructed at the edge of a hill. In the 18th century, the French started to build small encampments to hunt the region's wildlife. The Templar Shay Cormac also visited Dekanawida to retrieve a native relic beneath the totem pillar.

Trivia

  • Dekanawida is Native American for "two rivers running".
