Having traveled to Venice to retrieve the Apple of Eden from the Templars, Mario Auditore and a group of Assassins assisted an unsuspecting Ezio Auditore in an assault on the Templar Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia and his soldiers. After an intense battle, the Assassins proved victorious, driving Rodrigo from the city and recovering the apple.
In appreciation of Ezio's personal growth and unwavering dedication to their cause, Mario and the other Assassins formally inducted him into the Brotherhood.
