The Data Dump Scanner (or DDS) was a machine similar to the animus but allows Abstergo recruits to relive the memories of any hosts without having to be blood-related to them, unlike the bond shared between Desmond Miles, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
