Darby Christopher McDevitt is a creative scriptwriter at Ubisoft Montreal. He was born in Spokane, educated in Bellingham and Dublin, and lived in Seattle briefly.

With a diverse professional profile spanning more than a decade, he has worked as a writer, film maker, musician, and game designer. Among some of his more recent work is being a script writer for both the story and dialogue in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Assassin's Creed: Embers.

Trivia

  • During the 2011 Comic Con, McDevitt confirmed that Altaïr and Ezio are not related to each other and further explained that Altaïr comes from one side of Desmond's family while Ezio from the other.
  • When asked where he would like a new Assassins Creed game to be set, He said he would like it to be set in Ireland especially the last 200 years of Irish History.[[1]]
