Danvers was the chauffeur of the Templar Thaddeus Gift, active in London during the early 20th century.

In 1927, as Gift hurriedly exited the nightclub Café de Paris, he told his man to call to Danvers. Danvers failed to reach him before the acting Black Cross, Albert Bolden, caught up with and killed Gift.[1]
