Trivia
- Chrysaor was the brother of the winged stallion Pegasos, born when the hero Perseus cut off the gorgon Medusa's head. Unlike his brother, Chrysaor was depicted as a young man.
- The name Chrysaor is derived from the Greek word χρῡσός (khrūsós), meaning 'golden'. The name is usually translated as 'he who has a golden sword'.
