The Centaurs are a race of half-horse, half-human creatures featuring in the Greek mythology.

Influence

Atalanta, the princess of Arkadia, had gained fame as a slayer of centaurs in 6th century BCE.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War a member of The Silver Vein branch of the Cult of Kosmos, The Centaur of Euboea, chose a cryptonym evoking the creatures.[2]

During the Renaissance a painting by Sandro Botticelli, Pallas and the Centaur, hung within Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni.[3]
