Captain's Chest

The Captain's Chest was a chest armor used by the Greek pirate Gotarzes during the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra rescued Gotarzes from a self-inflicted marooning on the island of Lestris around 429 BCE.[1] After returning Gotarzes to his sister, the pirate admiral Xenia, she commanded him to give Kassandra the armor as a reward for his rescue.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Captain's Chest is a torso armor that appears in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and shares its model with Athenian Breastplate and its variants. The rarity of this item is dependent on whether the player accepts a reward from Xenia with the player receiving the higher Epic-grade version if they tell her that a reward is "not necessary". The Epic gear provides a bonus to maximum health, in addition to the two perks available on the Rare-grade.
