Cape Town
Cape Town is the legislative capital of South Africa, as well as its oldest city. [citation needed]
History
Originally established as one of the earliest European outposts, by the early 18th century, Cape Town had become the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony and its trading market was prosperous.[1] The Welsh pirate Edward Kenway traded olive oil[1] and cocoa pods with both the English and Dutch settlers in the city.[2]
