Cape Town is the legislative capital of South Africa, as well as its oldest city.

History

Originally established as one of the earliest European outposts, by the early 18th century, Cape Town had become the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony and its trading market was prosperous.[1] Welsh pirate Edward Kenway traded with both the English and the Dutch settlers in the city.[2][1]
