Briton Shield
The Briton Shield was a type of light shield used by Britonnic warriors in England during the 9th century. This particular shield was lost in a game of dice by a soldier stationed west of Offa's Dyke who died before he could win it back.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired this shield from a chest beneath the Temple of Mithras.[1]
