Briton Shield
The Briton Shield was a type of light shield used by warriors in England during the 9th century. This particular shield was lost in a game of dice by a soldier stationed west of Offa's Dyke who died before he could try to win it back.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired this shield from a chest beneath the Temple of Mithras.[1]
