"So you're saying it's just another GTA, with next-gen graphics" well.. in a way yes, of course it's the same plot as the other GTAs where you can do whatever you want in a huge open world with a cool singelplayer story, afterall that's how the franchise got so popular in the first place. it's not just a copy-paste game of GTA IV with new characters and location (like Revelations was to Brotherhood) but an entire new game with new kinds of gameplay (for example three protagonist with different sets of skills to put variety in the gameplay) and a lot better graphics, besides that Rockstar noted what people did like and didn't like in the previous GTAs. for example, people didn't like that there weren't any airplanes in GTA IV so of course Rockstar added airplanes in their new installment. what most people loved about the series is the cars and guns, so rockstar added much of both and many customization options. they also took the hunting succes from red dead.
so all im saying is these guys has added the best features from their most succesfull games and untop of that, they added something never really seen before, they created an entire underwater world just in case you get bored with the world on land.
unlike Ubisoft, Rockstar doesn't just rush the game so that it is ready the year after, Rockstar used years to develop each game so that it was close to perfect when it was released. Ubisoft also did that with AC2 and they won game of the year with that game. I have been disappointed with every AC game ubisoft released since 2, that's why im using my money on GTA V this year.
don't get me wrong I still think Black Flag looks amazing :) but I thought the same with ACB,ACR and AC3 so im carefull not getting my hope to high.
and yes I am a fanboy, but i love the AC series just as much if not more than the GTA series :)
sorry for long post.
