I meant that the amount of male characters in the series grossly outnumbers the amount of female characters in the series.

Regarding the 50-50 split, it's just so cautious. I don't want to assume that Evie was thrown in there to "make peace" with the fans scorned by the "no female avatars in Unity co-op" issue (which wouldn't have been an issue if Ubisoft had owned up to the fact that co-op is just four copies of Arno, but no they tried to bullshit their way out - "it would take so much time, so many animations" - and nobody fell for it). That controversy just exposed the sad trend of lacking female characters, especially female characters that are treated respectfully and are not just a stepping stone in another hero's narrative, in videogames.

We've had Jacobs in this franchise before - don't tell me he's not coming off as an Ezio right now, because he totally is. We haven't had Evies in this franchise before, and I'd like to have them. I'd like Ubisoft to not always go for the straight white male, but mix it up with men and women that have different skintones, different cultures, different sexual orientations, etc. I'm not against straight while male characters (I loved Edward and Shay and Ezio), but I'd love to have some more - here comes that dreaded word - diversity in my protagonists.

As for Evie dying, it's just speculation. We saw how Élise ended up, so hopefully Ubisoft doesn't pull that trick again.
