The Café du Quartier Latin was a café and Assassin social club in the Le Quartier Latin district of Paris, France.

History[edit | edit source]

At some point after receiving stewardship over the Café Théâtre in 1791,[1] the French Assassin Arno Dorian renovated the café with 1,500 as a social club for the Assassins. After the upgrade, the Assassin Council delivered a mission notice there for Arno to eliminate a group of the French Templar Maximilien de Robespierre's allies who sought to overthrow the Legislative Assembly.[2] In 1794, the Council sent him another task, requesting that he prevent a potential Enragés-provoked riot by assassinating the man who succeeded the late priest Jacques Roux in leading the group and aimed to incite the sans-culottes.[3] In the 1820s, the Council requested Arno assist Jean-François Champollion in recovering a stolen rubbing of the Rosetta Stone that contained sensitive information concerning the Assassins.[4]
