Bian Lingcheng (邊令誠; died 756) was an eunuch at the court of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang who was secretly a member of the Golden Turtles.[1]
During the An Lushan Rebellion, Gao Xianzhi and Feng Changqing sent troops to garrison at the Tong Pass, resisting the entry of Yeluohe Army, and Bian Lingcheng was the supervising army. After repelling Sun Xiaozhe's attack, Gao Xianzhi and Feng Changqing rejected Bian Lingcheng's request to pursue enemy troops in retreat. Then Bian Lingcheng threatened to deprive Feng Changqing of his position and intended to force him out of the army. Gao Xianzhi, who had just lost a large number of troops, was furious and denounced Bian Lingcheng and Yang Guozhong, who was a party with him. An angry Bian Lingcheng threatened to report the matter to Yang Guozhong, so he hurriedly retreated.
