Austri-stifla

Austri-stifla (Runic: ᛅᚢᛋᛏᚱᛁᛋᛏᛁᚠᛚᛅ) was the eastern dam in northern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion of the realm, jötnar warriors set up a base at the bottom of the dam as they guarded a portal to Ginnungagap.

History

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi ventured upward atop the dam and found a page about the heroic saga of the dwarf Gæfuleysi and his rumors about Thor's manhood.

Behind the scenes

Depending on either dam in Svartalfheim, Havi may have chosen to enter the portal at Austri-stifla after obtaining all of pieces of armor of the Jotun Armor Set.
