Nidhogg has made Hel's third realm his home, turning a once-stagnant swamp into a wellspring of everything foul and corrupt. No longer simply content to feed upon the dead (although he has not lost his taste for those), he sucks upon the very essence of life through Yggdrasil's roots that run throughout the land in answer to his decay.
