Beamasfield

Beamasfield was an Anglo-Saxon village that was used as lumber mill in Cent, England.

History

In 874, Beamasfield became a site used to collect lumber for King Alfred the Great's fortification against the Viking invasion.[1] From his investigation in Cent, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq let both his allies, Abbot Cynebert and the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan that he heard rumors of the thegn Tedmund being stationed there. Thus, Eivor and Basim traveled to Beamasfield to collect Tedmund and bring him to Cynebert "captured." Upon their search, Eivor and Basim found and abducted "Tedmund," who was actually a decoy, a former monk named Shergar.[2]

Through her travels, Eivor also found chest within one of the houses, on its top floor. However, Eivor noticed that the chest needed two keys to unlock it. From her investigation, Eivor found the two keys within Beasmasfield and headed back to the chest. Eivor opened the chest and retrieved the Brigandine Gauntlets.[3]

Behind the scenes

Coincidentally, the location corresponds to a current sawmill, South East Oak Sawmills.
