I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
- Altaïr: "You. I didn't quite catch your name."
- Agent: "What was it I told you in Kyrenia? Was it... Barnabas?"
- —Altaïr and Bouchart's agent exchange words over Alexander's corpse.[src]

The unidentified Templar agent (unknown − 1193) was employed by Armand Bouchart, Grand Master of the Templar Order, as a covert agent that specialized in espionage and assassination.
Biography
The agent's mission was to infiltrate and sabotage the Cypriot Resistance, which he achieved by killing Barnabas and impersonating him. Under this guise, he misled Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, whom he manipulated to kill Jonas, a respected merchant in Kyrenia.
Later, the agent was responsible for killing Demetris, a Templar ally that the Altaïr had intended to interrogate. It was only after seeing the severed head of the real Barnabas, that Altaïr confirmed the man he met in Kyrenia was a Templar mercenary.
Finally, the agent killed Alexander of Limassol, the leader of the resistance, and prepared a trap for Altaïr in the courtyard of the Limassol Castle, near the entrance to the Templar Archive, by unleashing the mob of angry citizens upon the Assassin, whom they believed to be a traitor to the resistance.
There, the agent revealed himself and professed his ability and intention to kill Altaïr, in order to take the Apple of Eden which Altaïr used to pacify the citizens and send them away. However, before the agent could execute his plan, he was killed by Maria Thorpe, who impaled him with her sword, and subsequently pushed off the battlements.
Personality and characteristics
The agent was a stealthy killer and talented spy, who was able to escape from Altaïr on multiple occasions. He wore his Order's uniform most of the time, typically with a hooded mask which obscured his features. Altaïr was uneasy of his casual attitude towards death, as seen when he laughed upon hearing of Jonas' death.
