Barbed Blade

The Barbed Blade was a sickle sword in the 5th century BCE Greece. Inspired by and compared to a lightning, the blade was swift, silent, and surprising, as its many barbs ensured a hit.
Despite its exotic looks, the blade was popular during the Peloponnesian War.[1]

Behind the scenes
The Barbed Blade, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, including the Curved Obsidian Blade and the Moonlit Crescent. These are all the recycled model of the Thorn, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
