Metal Cestus
The Metal Cestus is an upgrade to Ezio Auditore's fists weapon slot. It can be purchased from any blacksmith for 2000f in Assassin's Creed II and by Leonardo da Vinci for 6100f in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. When equipped, it will boost the damage of fists from 1 to 3. It will be automatically equipped when purchased, and cannot be unequipped.
Assassin's Creed II
The Metal Cestus upgrade will give you a slight advantage for Beat Up events, and any other instances that involve unarmed fighting. A particularly useful moment to have the Metal Cestus equipped is during the last fight against Rodrigo Borgia, wherein you are disarmed of all weapons except the Metal Cestus/Fists. The origin of this weapon is the ancient Roman Empire, where gladiators used weapons similar to the Cestus in arena fights.

In Brotherhood, the Metal Cestus is known as the Climb Leap Glove. It grants Ezio the same damage and speed boosts gained from the gloved weapon in Assassin's Creed II, as well as the previously lost Climb Leap ability taught to Ezio by Rosa in Venice. The Metal Cestus is the only small weapon you can have equipped along with another small weapon, though they can't be used together.

Trivia
- At the beginning of Brotherhood when Ezio is wearing the Armor of Altaïr, the Metal Cestus is not present.
- In Assassin's Creed II, Ezio did not require the assistance of the Metal Cestus/Climb Leap Glove in order to perform the jumping maneuver taught to him by Rosa, however in Brotherhood the glove has to be bought before Ezio gains back the ability. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood the book by Oliver Bowden it says that the glove that Leonardo sells to Ezio's will improve his climbing abilities to that of a gecko.
- When replaying DNA Sequence 2: Memory 4 with the Armor of Brutus worn, then re-equipping the Roman Spaulders from a Blacksmith, the glove will be removed but the metal connected to the glove will remain on Ezio's hand, making it look like it is attached.
