X Marks the Spot is a memory in Assassin's Creed II.

Description

This is the second to last memory of the game and can only be started after Ezio has collected all the Codex pages over Italy, and had them decoded by Leonardo. It begins with Ezio meeting his uncle Mario Auditore and the other Assassins at the Villa Auditore.

Ezio places all the Codex pages on the Codex Wall, and solves the puzzle by using Eagle Vision and rotating the pages. Once solved, the image turns out to be a map of the world, showing the locations of the Vault and other Pieces of Eden throughout the world.

Outcome

The Assassins find the location of the Vatican Vault, and Ezio goes to Rome to assassinate Rodrigo Borgia. The other Assassins aid Ezio by causing riots in the city to distract the guards and let Ezio make it to the Vatican.

Tips

• The player should align the borders first, then move towards the middle.
• Most on the pages have a part of, or the whole image of the Assassin insignia on it. If they are pointing upwards, then the page is in the correct position.
