Arsuf

The Arsuf Plains are the location of the penultimate level of the game. You can only enter Arsuf for a short while, before the end of the game. As Altaïr enters the area, Crusaders and Saracens are engaged in a major battle. Here, after slaying several groups of many soldiers, both Crusader and Saracen, Altaïr is finally able to confront Robert de Sable in a final battle to see "which side God favors" according to King Richard, who watched the fight. It is here, after killing Robert, you are told that Al Mualim was a Templar the entire time and used Altaïr to kill off the other Templar members so that he could have the Piece of Eden for himself. This revelation is proven to be true when you confront Al Mualim yourself.

Arsuf itself is a real location in modern day Israel, near the City of Herzliya. The remains of the ruined fortress and city still stand there to this day.
