The Colonial Assassins were the Brotherhood of Assassins located in the thirteen colonies of British America.

History

The Colonial Brotherhood was founded by John de la Tour around the early 18th century after his arrival to the colonies. After having been recruited in the 1730s, Achilles Davenport became the Mentor of the Colonial Assassins in 1746. Blessed with a talent for recruitment and organization, Achilles also strengthened the Brotherhood's ties with the Iroquois.[1]

In 1763, the Templars launched an attack on the Assassins in the colonies and the Brotherhood was decimated. All members of the chapter were hunted down and killed, except for Achilles, who was captured and tried by the Templars, but was allowed to live out his life if he abandoned the Assassins' cause and moved into the wilderness.[2]

Later, the native Connor Kenway joined the Brotherhood under the training of Achilles. By 1774, Connor started the reconstruction of the Brotherhood, when he recruited Stephane Chapheau in Boston during the time that William Johnson was having his men steal from the people. Both Chapheau and Connor participated in the Boston Tea Party, where they deprived Templars of certain funding.

By 1780, Connor had recruited five other members to the cause after assisting them with their districts of the cities of Boston and New York. In Boston, Connor recruited Duncan Little and Clipper Wilkinson, after stopping taxmen and forceful military drafters respectively. In New York, Connor recruited Jacob Zenger, Jamie Colley, and Deborah Carter after ending Martial Law, helping the sick and wounded, and helping the poor respectively.

After the sudden growth in the Colonial Brotherhood, the group quickly worked to destroy Templar Influence. Connor in his efforts was able to assassinate all of the Templar co-conspirators in the United States. He killed Johnson for attempting to claim land for the Templars, John Pitcairn for attempting to cripple the Patriot cause, Thomas Hickey for attempting to murder George Washington, Benjamin Church for stealing Patriot supplies, Haytham Kenway for leading them and attempting to spread Templar powers, and Charles Lee for attempting to begin the regrowth of the Order.
