:I would argue that the category is useful for separating the mythological characters who may or may not exist like Calder from definitely Isu and helps parse their factions/homelands though this website puts Muspels as Jotnar where the game has a deliberate distinction. ::I think the issue is treating this category as a reflection of the Isu. This category should solely be about Jotnar in a mythological sense (which does include residents of Muspelheim). Any character perceived as a Jotnar by later characters belongs in this category regardless if that individual is based on some Isu entity or completely fictional. :::Sure but the wiki is putting frost and fire giants together, so Muspels end up in the Jotnar category anyway. Reflects the real-world mythology which the game ignores, I assume partly for clarity but possibly also because the people of Jotunheim and Muspelheim reflect cultures on opposite sides of the Mediterranean in concept. So Glod's half-Jotun/half-Muspel but Eysa gets put in both categories as well. I don't think we need this category, or Category:Muspels, either. Both jötnar and Muspels are just Eivor's cultural upbringing providing a filter over the various Isu factions. Furthermore, not all Isu later remembered as Greco-Roman gods have a Norse analogue, whether in-game or in real myths. – Darman (talk) 05:10, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

I would argue that the category is useful for separating the mythological characters who may or may not exist like Calder from definitely Isu and helps parse their factions/homelands though this website puts Muspels as Jotnar where the game has a deliberate distinction. I think the issue is treating this category as a reflection of the Isu. This category should solely be about Jotnar in a mythological sense (which does include residents of Muspelheim). Any character perceived as a Jotnar by later characters belongs in this category regardless if that individual is based on some Isu entity or completely fictional. Sure but the wiki is putting frost and fire giants together, so Muspels end up in the Jotnar category anyway. Vetinari(Appointment) 03:02, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
