The symbol of the Assassin Order, though varying slightly over different time periods and countries, holds essentially the same shape and style. In Assassin's Creed, the logo is used to mark the entrances of city Bureaus, and is seen on the many banners decorating the fortress of Masyaf. Within Assassin's Creed II, it is used on the mechanisms within the many Assassin's tombs, and on the banners and walls of Monteriggioni. Additionally, it is worn openly on the clothes of many known Assassins, such as Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Nikolai Orelov.

Trivia

• In the Sanctuary, all of the statues have different Assassin symbols (differing from their unique Assassin's Seals) on their waists, which are deviations of the original logo. For example, Amunet's symbol has two snakes on it.
• Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Nikolai Orelov are the only other Assassins to wear the Assassin symbol. It is never used as personal decoration in Assassin's Creed or its spin-offs.
• It bears resemblance to the symbol of the Freemasons.
