He allied himself with the Auditore family, becoming a trusted friend of Giovanni Auditore da Firenze. However, unbeknownst to him, Uberto had beef with the Medici bank, which was close with the Auditore family. Thus, he betrayed his friends by joining the Templars and sentencing Giovanni and two of his sons to death.<br>
