In Unity, there are small mentions of two Sages ever having achieved the highest rank in the Templar Order as Grand Master. One of these is [[François-Thomas Germain]], which is revealed through the story, but yet Germain himself mentions that he at first had trouble understanding his Sage visions, but upon reading de Molay's codex, he gained insight and set about spreading de Molay's teachings.
It could be reaching at straws, but the emphasis on Germain returning to the Temple at the end, and the Sage mentions, could it not be true that de Molay was also a Sage?

I don't believe Project Legacy says anything about Molay having the Shroud. Assuming it remained in the Templar's hands between Jesus' execution and it's theft from de Charny, it could have been anywhere before it ended up in de Charny's hands. As far as I can find, there's no historical connection between de Molay and de Charny or the Shroud. 98.192.42.30 19:05, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
