Yebu (now known as Elephantine) is an island on the Nile, forming part of the city of Swenett in Upper Egypt.

During the late 1st century BCE, Yebu served as the seat for the Strategos, Athames.[1]

History

In around 70 BCE, Bayek, whilst looking for his father Sabu was notified that he was being held prisoner on the island of Elephantine, Bayek together with Aya and Kensa went to investigate. Upon getting to the island they discovered it was a trap set by the local militia, after escaping Sabu revealed himself to the group. Bion, the man hunting the Medjay to extinction, arrived to the same trap, only to be injured and escape.[2]
