Yang Yuhuan (楊玉環; 719 – 756) also known as Yang Guifei (楊貴妃), was consort of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang during the 8th century.
After the fall of Tong Pass, she fled to Mawei Station with Emperor Xuanzong. There, they suffered a mutiny. In order to protect his safety, she willingly gave herself to death and was hanged by the eunuch.[1]
