Uplay is a service created by Ubisoft to provide an experience similar to the trophies/achievements offered by Sony and Microsoft respectively. This service is provided across all three platforms (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) and is currently in beta stage. Seven other Ubisoft games feature Uplay, Splinter Cell: Conviction, R.U.S.E, Pure football, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, The Settlers 7, Silent Hunter 5 and Tom Clancy's Hawx 2.
Each game has four Actions that are spread throughout the story, and accomplishing each earns you Uplay points, which are referred to as Units.
