The Arsinoe Nome was a nome of Egypt, situated on the Sinai, north of Klysma Nome. It was set up along the pharaoh's canal and the Way of Horus, connecting Egypt to Judea. It was named after Arsinoe II, the sister and second wife of Ptolemy II Philadelphus. It's capital was also called Arsinoe.

History

In 38 BCE, the Hidden Ones in Sinai relocated their bureau to the caves located in the mountains in the nome, after their old bureau was burned down by the Romans.[1]
