Thomas Aquinas (Italian: Tommaso d'Aquino; 1225 – 1274) was an Italian Dominican friar, and a greatly influential philosopher, theologian, and jurist in the tradition of scholasticism. He was venerated as a saint by several Christian denominations and was considered a Doctor of the Catholic Church.
Legacy
By the 15th century, Thomas had been venerated as a saint and had a monastery dedicated to him in the Spanish city of Ávila.[1]
In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[2]
