The Merchant of Rome was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Ezio Auditore received a contract from Niccolò Machiavelli to assassinate a merchant affiliated with the House of Borgia.
Outcome
Ezio assassinated the merchant, demonstrating that the Borgia protection was not effective.
Trivia
- The name of the memory is likely a reference to the Shakespeare play entitled "The Merchant of Venice", which was also used for the title of Sequence 7 in Assassin's Creed II
