The George was a pub in the City of London borough of London during the 19th century.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1868, the British Assassin Jacob Frye entered the establishment after being told by his ally Duleep Singh about a man named Cornelius Toti-Button, a friend of the Royal Jeweller, drinking there. Talking to Cornelius, Jacob engaged in a drinking match with the man, which led to them leaving the pub as Jacob questioned Cornelius about the location of the Koh-i-Noor diamond.[1]
