Three keys were needed to access the Temple of the Sand, one was received from Fajera, the gypsy woman. The Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad traveled to the Temple of the Sand where he encountered Templar forces and fought his way to its antechamber, defeating the Axe Warrior. There, he found an empty chest and Lord Basilisk, who hinted that the Chalice was in fact a woman. Basilisk taunted him, and Altaïr ran out and back to Tyre before the temple collapsed.
