The Taranis Armor was a piece of armor inspired by Taranis, the Celtic god of thunder. The golden plates were considered so exquisite, that it was said the smith's skill rivalled that of any other on Earth.

During the Viking expansion into England, the armor was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories in 2020.[1]
