The Silver Mines were a cave system in the Silver Foothills on the island of Thasos, Greece. Used as a source to delve silver, it was protected by a small military force. In the back of the mines, the cave system was connected to the Silver Foothill Trail.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place.[1]
