Sigmund was a figure in Norse mythology, the son of Völsung, husband of Hjördís, and father of Sigurd.[1]
At one point, he was in possession of one of the Swords of Eden. The sword was named Gram and Sigmund would use it to kill the dragon Fafnir.[2]
