Shapur the Unforgiving

Shapur the Unforgiving (died c. 420s BCE) was a Persian mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography

Before Shapur got involved in the war, he was known for attacking rich merchants and robbing them of their possessions. One of his last kills was Samir the Nomad, one of the richest merchants.[1]

While said conflict was ongoing, Shapur crossed paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who killed the former after accepting a bounty contract. Afterwards, Kassandra claimed Shapur's signature dagger.[2]
