Pope Alexander VI (1 January 1431 – 18 August 1503), born Roderic Llançol, later Roderic de Borja i Borja (Italian: Rodrigo Borgia) was Pope from 1492 to 1503. He is one of the most controversial of the Renaissance popes, and his surname (Italianized as Borgia) became a byword for the debased standards of the papacy of that era. He is portrayed by Manuel Tadros in both Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Lineage.
Biography
Assassin's Creed: Lineage
Italy, during the Renaissance, the Medicis are ruling over Florence. But a conspiracy in a attempt to overthrow the powerful Lorenzo de' Medici is being plotted. Rodrigo Borgia is part of it. One night of 1476, Rodrigo is on his way to leave Florence with few of his men in the dark streets of the city. Suddenly, an Assassin intercepts him. Rodrigo flees immediately as the Assassin is fighting with his men. Hidden behind a corner, he sees the Assassin capturing one of his men. The prisoner reveals to Rodrigo's enemies the assassination of Galeazzo Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan and a powerful ally of Lorenzo. However, the Assassin arrives too late. Rodrigo and his accomplices' plan has succed. He is planning the next move.
Assassin's Creed II
We can see Rodrigo on the execution platform of Florence, attending to the judgement of Giovanni Auditore and his sons. He is later seen during a meeting for the plot of the Pazzis and the Templars in a catacomb under the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella.
As the game ends in 1503, and his death being on the same year, it is supposed that he will be the last assassination target of Ezio , possibly due to him secretly being a Templar leader, along with being the Pope. Template:Spoiler End
