Richard Farrese is a writer, narrative designer, and editor at Ubisoft Montréal. Since joining the studio in November 2010, Farrese has worked on multiple aspects of the Assassin's Creed franchise. These include main tier titles such as Assassin's Creed: Revelations and spin-offs such as Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, as well as a variety of transmedia projects including Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, the UbiWorkshop produced Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia and Assassin's Creed: Recollection, as well as on the mentoring initiative for new writers alongside Ann Lemay.

Before joining Ubisoft, Farrese had been a long time fan of the series. He also worked as a freelance writer, editor and game designer, primarily on RPG-related projects such as books and magazine articles, on franchises such as World of Warcraft. He also worked as a mentor to RPG designers and writers.
