Store Front Apothecary in Monteriggioni

The Apothecary is a shop attended to by a doctor.

During the Renaissance, Monteriggioni had its own apothecary, while in cities like Florence doctors were often standing on the street by a portable apothecary stand. For 50 florins, the doctor at the apothecary helped the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze with his ailments, or he could buy a bottle of medicine for 75 florins.[1]
