Poseidon's Trident was a trident which was believed to have belonged to Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, and as such, control the seas.
Due to this belief, the trident was desired by many. However, it was hidden in a chest within the Temple of Poseidon on the Samian Island of Triton. During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found it there.[1]

Behind the scenes
A copy of the Poseidon's Trident was appropriately wielded by the Isu Poseidon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey's DLC The Fate of Atlantis. It is unknown if they are meant to be the same weapon.
