Poseidon's Trident was a trident which was said to belong to Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.

A weapon coveted by sailors, the trident granted its wielders the ability to breathe underwater. During the Peloponnesian War, the trident was found by the Spartan misthios Kassandra in a chest on a small island between Chios and Samos.[1]
