Poland is a country in Central Europe, situated close to Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus.
History
World War II
Before the Second World War flashpoint burst, the country was invaded by the Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union together. At the end of the war, the country was forced to join the Warsaw Pact.
On 15 July 1943, Assassins Julia Dusk and Eddie Gorm infiltrated Książ Castle, which was holding an auction hosted by Nazi leader and German Templar Gero Kramer, to recover an Apple of Eden. The Assassins ultimately killed Kramer and recovered the Apple. Making their way underground, they met with their leader Boris Pash revitalizing a train for them. However, both Nikola Tesla and Pash revealed the latter's temporary agreement with the Templars, which led Eddie to unsuccessfully attack Pash. Dusk, dismayed, tried to use a grenade to destroy the Apple, killing herself in the process.[1]
Unfortunately, Dusk's attempt was in vain and Pash took the intact Apple while leaving Gorm bleeding to death. However, Eddie escaped the castle and survived his injuries.[1]
Cold War
By the end of the Cold War, Poland had gained its independence from the USSR.
