The Palazzo Medici is the palace of the Medici family in Florence. It can be explored in Assassin's Creed II as a Secret Location, after inputting a code that comes with the Black or Master Assassin's Editions. Each code is unique and can only be used once. It can also be downloaded along with the Bonfire of the Vanities DLC.
Plot
The objective of the mission is that Ezio (after he kills Francesco de' Pazzi, or at any time after sequence 4) must rescue Lorenzo de' Medici from the Pazzi soldiers that have captured him inside his own palace. The reward for completing this is access to a stash of florins in a Templar strong box.
Trivia
- This is one of the few buildings in the game whose roof cannot be reached, even while using the "Climb Leap" technique.
- Access to the courtyard and roof is possible by using the throwing-knives glitch off of a nearby view point. No textures exist inside the courtyard, though, and escape is impossible, so there is no point going into it.
