The Palazzo Medici is the Palace of the Medicis. It can be explored with the Black and Master Assassin's Editions of Assassin's Creed II as a Secret Location. To redeem this map there is a code that comes with the Black and Master Assassin's Editions. Each code is unique and can only be used once. It can also be explored if you downloaded sequence 13 with the secret locations attached.
Plot
The objective of the mission is that Ezio (after he kills Francesco de' Pazzi, or any time you want after sequence 4) must rescue Lorenzo de' Medici from the Pazzi soldiers that have captured him inside his own palace. The reward for completing this is access to a stash of florins in a Templar strong box.
Trivia
- Note to players that this is one of the few buildings in the game world you cannot climb all the way to the top and gain access to the roof. Even while using the "Climb Leap" technique (after unlocking the ability), you still cannot access the top of the building.
- Access to the courtyard and roof is possible by using the throwing-knives glitch off of a nearby view point. No textures exist inside the courtyard, though, and escape is impossible, so there is no point going into the courtyard.
- If you have the Special Edition of the game or have bought the Templar Lairs DLC, the Palazzo is a Templar Lair, therefore you can play inside the Palazzo.
